PACCAR Australia is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, visitors, contractors and the public affected by our manufacturing and distribution operations. We integrate Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) principals into our daily activities, fostering a ‘Arrive Safe, Work Safe, Home Safe’ culture that prioritises the physical and mental wellbeing of our workforce.

We comply with laws and regulations, continuously improve our practices and promote mental wellbeing alongside physical health. Our goal is for everyone associated with PACCAR Australia to Arrive Safe, Work Safe, and return Home Safe.

We actively enhance our OH&S practices through assessments, learning from incidents, employee suggestions and industry best practices. We foster collaboration, consultation and engagement, valuing everyone’s contribution to safety.

We prioritise mental wellbeing through employee assistance programs, mental health training, stress management resource and regular communication on mental health topics.

Our policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and updated to align with our safety objectives and targets.

At PACCAR Australia, we establish a strong safety culture where ‘Arrive Safe, Work Safe, Home Safe’ is paramount. Together, we strive for excellence in occupational health, safety and mental wellbeing.

PACCAR Australia will achieve this by:

    1. LEADERSHIP AND CULTURE: We will demonstrate safety leadership at all levels of the organisation, promoting the principals of “Arrive Safe, Work Safe, Home Safe.” Every employee is expected to actively contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.

    1. RISK MANAGEMENT: We will identify and mitigate workplace hazards to prevent injuries, illnesses and damage to company assets.

    1. POLICIES AND SYSTEMS: We will establish and maintain effective policies, procedures, systems and training programs to support and communicate health and safety practices throughout the organisation.

    1. EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT: We encourage active participation, consultation and co-operation of all employees, contractors and visitors in improving health, safety and wellbeing. Each individual shares the responsibility of maintaining a safe work environment.

    1. COMMUNICATION AND COLLABORATION: We will share our OH&S policies and procedures with stakeholders concerned or affected by our performance. Regular communication channels will be established to facilitate the exchange of safety-related information and promote continuous improvement.

    1. OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY PROGRAMS: We will implement ongoing programs and assessments to prevent accidents and incidents in the workplace. These initiatives will focus on hazard reduction and safety improvement measures.

    1. EMPLOYEE RESPONSIBILITIES: All employees are expected to adhere to company safety requirements, procedures and work instructions, actively participate in hazard reduction efforts, report injuries and incidents and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

    1. MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTABILITY: Managers and supervisors are responsible and accountable for ensuring the safety of employees, contractors, and company property under their control. They will provide support and guidance to ensure compliance with safety requirements and foster a culture of safety.

 SENIOR MANAGEMENT’S COMMITMENT:

Senior management is fully committed to the objectives outlined in this policy. They will provide the necessary support, resources and leadership to prioritise safety within the organisation. Regular reviews of the OH&S policy and procedures will be conducted to ensure their relevance and alignment with our safety objectives and targets. By adhering to this policy and working together, we will create a safe and healthy work environment for everyone at PACCAR Australia.
