Brief Description of your Dealership:

Our Dealership is located on the Hume Highway, 300 kilometres north of Melbourne en route to Sydney and Brisbane. It is a modern purpose-built facility that stands proud facing the highway. We employ 60 people.

The dealership has always strived to achieve a perfect customer experience and hence last won Kenworth Dealer of the year in 2010.

Something unique about your Dealership:

We have been working on our aim of providing Quality, Value, On Time and Well-Communicated Service in all facets of the business and strive for a perfect NPS rating from our customers. We are a new age Dealership.

Favourite local spot:

Difficult question, especially when you have the Murray River, Snowfields, Wineries, Golf Resorts, Hume Weir on your doorstep!

Your favourite truck model:

We love all trucks. We have a great sales team that has the ability to make all Kenworths look special, as well as some of the special DAF builds we have delivered.

How did you get started in this business?

We decided back in 2009 to invest our money during the GFC to purchase the PACCAR dealership after the retirement of the former owner. Starting when we did really made us focus on every 1% of the business. We have had growth in all parts and really haven’t looked back from having the best brands and partnering with PACCAR.

If you weren’t working in this industry what would you be doing?

Having recently turned 50, I don’t think I could get the truck business out of my veins after so long in the auto industry, so it would have to be totally different. Maybe a horse trainer????

Who is your role model and why?

Dr Seuss. The profound nature of what he saw 50 years ago still resonates in today’s world. Recognisable, factual and getting stronger with age.

Tell me about a project or accomplishment that you consider to be the most significant in your career.

As stated earlier, buying a PACCAR dealership off our own ability and will, without hand me downs, still has to be up there as one of the most significant.

Is there a customer experience you are most proud of?

One great experience is being told by a customer that they can’t believe that we treat them (single owner driver) as well as a big fleet. To us every customer is like gold.

Thoughts on the future of the industry:

As soon as someone like Bill Gates can work out how to deliver things via the internet, then without trucks, everything stops.
